Back in the Mix after the Wedding Events!

Salut Les Amis. After a 4 week long break for the entire wedding celebrations, I have finally found my stride back into regular same old same old routine. The wedding and all other events went exactly as planned, which brings me to say that my wife and I, even though we happened to be the most sought after people throughout, are incredibly overwhelmed at by all the love and affection we have received. Work began a day after the final day of the reception and as big as the party was, I only wanted to sleep for the entire week due to all the activities.

Apurva and I have planned to release an entire 4 hour long podcast on how the wedding went from initial days all the way into the final four days. So make sure you keep an eye our for that video.

I have been getting back into my usual reading and I came across a newsletter by Sahil Bloom. He speaks about the passion paradox and how sometimes the drive to monetize our passions can come in the way of you losing interest in them. This is something that I often feel and here are 5 things that I keep in mind while truly enjoying my passions of music and football.

Curiosity: Curiosity is a major driver of play. When we pursue things because we have an innate curiosity for them, it never feels like work.
Challenge: Humans love a challenge. Fostering challenge in the work creates a video game atmosphere that will make it feel like play.
Competence: The desire to learn and improve is natural. Create evidence of improvement and expanding competence.
Control: Maintain a "Player One" mentality of being in control of your own fate. When we feel in the driver's seat, we feel like a real player, not a cog in the wheel.
Context: Embrace context changes that place you in new and imaginary environments. Separate yourself from the ordinary context regularly.

Time is the most finite resource that we have. To use it for doing the activities that we enjoy the most is single handed lay the most rewarding feeling one can ever have. In my case, my priorities lie with three main activities that I deeply enjoy. 1- Music- Music helps me be creative in the most surreal way. 2- Football - Playing football keeps me fit and takes away all the built up frustration and weariness in the day 3- Reading and Writing - Both these activities help me spend time with...

Salut Les Amis! One of my most fond memories is my dad taking me to his workplace and getting us to drink the coffee from his office coffee machine and as a 14 year old, I would wonder, how can it be so perfect each time? Ah, coffee. The lifeblood of the office. Without it, mornings are bleak, and productivity is at an all-time low. That's why mastering the office coffee machine is crucial. Don't settle for mediocre coffee. Let's jump right into perfecting your brew. If you work in an office,...
